4 Tips for Warming Your Home This Winter

As we embrace the South-East Queensland winter, we have provided some simple, budget-friendly tips for warming your home this season.

Keep the Heating System Maintained

Many properties have a split system air conditioner, allowing heating and cooling options.

Ensuring regular checks and cleans of the filters will ensure optimal efficiency.

If you notice any issues or suspect a problem, inform your property manager promptly so necessary repairs can be made.

Avoid using portable heaters where you can, as they can be fire hazards if not used correctly.

Prevent Condensation and Mould Growth

Condensation and mould can be common issues in colder months.

To prevent condensation, ensure your home is well-ventilated by opening windows or using extractor fans when cooking or showering.

Wipe down any excess moisture on window sills and walls.

If mould growth is persistent, ensure you contact your Property Manager to report this.

Be Mindful of Electricity Usage when warming your Home

The colder months often lead to increased electricity usage due to heating and lighting requirements.

Be mindful of your energy consumption and use energy-efficient practices.

Turn off lights and appliances when not in use, and consider using energy-saving bulbs where possible.

Utilise Natural Heat

Winter in Brisbane makes for the most beautiful sunny days, so why not take advantage of natural heat sources?

Opening up the curtains or blinds to let sunlight in can help warm up the space without using any electricity.

Keeping these tips in mind will create a comfortable living environment and minimise costs to you this season.

Effective communication with your property manager is the key to quickly addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive renting experience.

Stay warm, and enjoy the season!
