River, Rentals, Shopping, Transport – Yeronga has it All!

From a quiet farming community in the 1840s to a well ordered and prosperous residential suburb of the present day, Yeronga is a desirable location within 5 kilometres of the Brisbane CBD. It is well serviced by both public transport and modern road systems. Much of its early history has been preserved with Yeronga Park, 4 private houses and the original Yeronga Fire Station all now heritage listed.

Yeronga shares a long boundary on one side with the Brisbane River and this location has been both a blessing and a curse for the area. For most of the time, the river provides access to recreation, parklands and a place to relax and enjoy picnic facilities at the Brisbane Corso Reserve. However, during major flood events such as the one experienced in 2011, the river inundates the northern portion of the suburb, including businesses and residences.

Close to CBD but Still Quiet and Charming

Its major appeal is the close proximity to the Brisbane CBD and the ease of access to electric trains and buses. Despite its closeness to this busy area of Brisbane, Yeronga itself is still a quiet neighbourhood once away from the main roads. This makes it especially appealing to the rental market, and at Image Property Management we can report steady demand for good rental properties in the area.

Yeronga is home to a number of educational institutions, with state primary and secondary schools, private schools, and a TAFE college all situated within the suburb. In addition, the Eleanor Schonell Bridge connects the area directly to the University of Queensland at St. Lucia. There are ample shopping facilities within the suburb but for those who want to go further afield, buses provide easy access to Indooroopilly Shoppingtown, a major retail centre.

Property Values Rising – Rentals in Demand

As would be expected, property values were dramatically affected by the 2011 floods, but as time passes, sales are happening with prices slowly increasing. Our professional property investment advice for the suburb is to get into the investment market now while prices are still reasonable. With so many desirable attributes attached to Yeronga, it is always in demand by tenants.

Here at Image Property Management we offer the best service to people wanting to rent in the area. We know every square centimetre of the suburb and the most desirable rental properties are available through our agency. We have excellent systems to manage rental payments and our people are polite, friendly and happy to show you around.

Tenancy application forms are available on our website at www.imageproperty.com.au along with all our contact details. Give us a call and you may soon be enjoying Yeronga’s river reaches and friendly atmosphere.
