Nundah Quarterly Marketplace Report

An area rich in both indigenous and European settlement historical significance, Nundah has transformed itself from a working-class suburb to a vibrant inner-northern community hub with art, markets and community areas creating an enviable village atmosphere.

With Summer upon us Nundah delights with Jacaranda’s in full bloom throughout the fabulous parkland areas abundant in the area. Kalinga park is a favourite with its impressive tree-house style “Wonderland” playground delighting children of all ages. Wonderful bicycle and walking tracks allow you to ride along the Kedron Brook bikeway all the way to Mitchelton in the West and the fantastic Nudgee Beach in the East.

For those who love to dine, The Royal is a local favourite. Embracing the European heritage of the area you’ll find delicious Italian cuisine with mouth-watering sweets, the cannoli’s being infamous in the area. Get in quick because they disappear as soon as they’ve been made!

Sunday mornings the Nundah Farmer’s markets will provide a wonderful alfresco coffee as well as a great place to stock up on fresh food for the week ahead.

Vibrant community atmosphere blends so conveniently with the multitude of easy commute public transport options available with multiple Brisbane City Council bus routes sitting alongside the nearby Toombul train station providing easy access to both the Brisbane CBD and the Brisbane International and Domestic Airports. For the shopaholic’s amongst us Toombul Shopping Centre is a couple of minutes away and DFO is just around the corner.
